Satoru Gojo
Satoru Gojo (五条悟, Gojō Satoru) is one of the main protagonists of the Jujutsu Kaisen series and is widely regarded as the most powerful jujutsu sorcerer in the world. He is the pride of the Gojo Clan and the first person in four hundred years to inherit both the Limitless technique and the Six Eyes. Gojo serves as a teacher at Tokyo Jujutsu High, where he mentors and protects promising young sorcerers to reshape the jujutsu world for the better.
Appearance
Satoru is a very tall, lean, and muscular man in his late twenties, often considered highly attractive due to his sharp facial features. His snow-white hair and strikingly vibrant blue Six Eyes make him stand out even more. In most cases, he conceals his eyes with a black blindfold that keeps his hair spiked upward. For casual appearances, he opts for sunglasses and lets his hair fall loosely to the base of his neck.
While working, he usually wears a dark blue high-collared zip-up jacket with slim-fit black pants and black dress boots. Earlier in his career, he used bandages over his eyes before transitioning to a simple blindfold. Gojo also has a taste for luxury and is known for wearing stylish, expensive clothing in his personal life. During the Shinjuku Showdown Arc, he abandoned his blindfold entirely, letting his hair down while donning a tight black shirt, white training pants with a black belt, and black martial arts slippers—an attire reminiscent of Toji Fushiguro’s.
Personality
Gojo is known for his overwhelming confidence, bordering on arrogance, which stems from his immense strength and unmatched techniques. He often judges others based on their power and can be dismissive or indifferent toward those he considers weak. In battle, he exhibits a domineering and aggressive style, flaunting his mastery of cursed techniques and rarely showing fear or hesitation.
Despite his arrogance, Gojo is not without empathy. He has shown genuine care for individuals like Riko Amanai, and even after her death, he carried a sense of grief despite being clouded by pride following his mastery of reverse cursed technique. His relationship with Suguru Geto further highlights his humanity—Gojo was devastated by his best friend’s descent into villainy and was forced to end his life to prevent further tragedy. These experiences left emotional scars that shaped his outlook on the jujutsu world and his role within it.
Dream & Goals
Gojo’s ultimate goal is to reform the jujutsu world from the ground up by fostering a new generation of sorcerers. Through his teaching at Tokyo Jujutsu High, he hopes to raise students who will one day surpass him or stand as his equals. He believes that by nurturing the next generation, he can create a world where the mistakes of the past will not repeat themselves.
Abilities & Powers
Satoru Gojo’s power is unparalleled, making him a near-unstoppable force in the jujutsu world. His dominance stems from two extraordinary inheritances: Limitless and the Six Eyes. Limitless, the Gojo Clan’s signature technique, grants him microscopic control over space, enabling him to manipulate distance, vectors, and motion with surgical precision. Its most famous application is the so-called “Infinity,” which interposes an intangible barrier between Gojo and incoming threats. By continuously slowing objects as they approach, Infinity prevents attacks—physical or cursed—from ever making true contact, rendering standard offense ineffective against him.
Complementing this is the Six Eyes, a rare ocular ability that massively enhances perception and cursed-energy efficiency. With Six Eyes, Gojo can analyze techniques in real time, read the flow of cursed energy with near-perfect clarity, and execute complex operations with minimal waste. This efficiency allows him to sustain high-level techniques for extended durations without suffering the attrition that would exhaust other sorcerers. Practically, it also explains his frequent use of a blindfold or sunglasses: dampening sensory intake reduces fatigue and helps manage the overwhelming clarity granted by his eyes.
Offensively, Gojo commands an arsenal of devastating options. Cursed Technique Lapse: Blue manipulates space to create an attractive singularity, violently pulling targets toward a point and crushing everything caught in its wake. Cursed Technique Reversal: Red inverts that vector, producing a repulsive blast that hurls matter away with explosive force. When combined, these polar forces form the legendary Hollow Purple, a collapsing annihilation that erases anything along its trajectory. Hollow Purple is not merely destructive; it is precise, allowing Gojo to decide where devastation occurs and where it does not—an expression of both his mastery and his control.
Gojo’s Domain Expansion: Unlimited Void (Muryōkūsho) is equally overwhelming. Within the domain, opponents are flooded with limitless information—so much that their cognitive processes effectively freeze. This paralysis grants Gojo absolute initiative: he can strike, restrain, or conclude a battle while the target remains incapacitated. Unlike many sorcerers whose domains are taxing to maintain, Gojo’s Six Eyes and energy control let him deploy and terminate his domain with remarkable economy, using even partial or momentary expansions to achieve surgical objectives.
Beyond technique, Gojo’s fundamentals are elite. He possesses extraordinary speed, strength, and reflexes, easily overwhelming special grade curses in close quarters. His tactical intelligence is just as notable: he constantly tests, measures, and adapts, turning an opponent’s strengths into liabilities. In his clash with Toji Fushiguro, Gojo demonstrated ironclad resilience—surviving fatal injuries—and the ingenuity to discover Reverse Cursed Technique under extreme pressure, knitting himself back to fighting form mid-battle. He later integrated reverse flow seamlessly into combat, enhancing durability and recovery without sacrificing tempo.
While his confidence can verge on hubris—and occasionally tempts him to take risks—Gojo’s guiding purpose is protective. He uses his power as a shield for students and allies, choosing precise, high-impact methods that minimize collateral damage when possible. In sum, Satoru Gojo’s synthesis of spatial manipulation, overwhelming perception, efficient energy usage, lethal offense, absolute defense, domain supremacy, and battlefield IQ justifies his title as the “Strongest.” Yet the true core of his power is intent: the resolve to create a future where others can stand alongside him, not beneath him.
