Solo Leveling Update: Ragnarok Release While Season 3 Delays

The anime Solo Leveling has become one of the most popular anime series in recent years. However, fans are still waiting for official news about Season 3. It has been more than a year since Season 2 was released, and the animation studio A-1 Pictures has not yet confirmed the next season.
Why Season 3 Is Taking Time
Season 2 ended after adapting the famous Jeju Island Arc. The next part of the story is much bigger and more complex. It will focus on revealing the hidden truth about the world and the real origin of Sung Jin-Woo’s powers. Because of the large-scale battles and deeper storyline, production may take more time.
There are also rumors that the studio might release a movie before Season 3. However, there has been no official confirmation yet.
Ragnarok Manhwa Goes on Break
Another important update involves Solo Leveling: Ragnarok, a sequel story written by the author Daul. The manhwa version started in 2024 and quickly became popular among fans.
Unfortunately, the series is currently on an indefinite break. The manhwa artist Jin has left to complete mandatory military service. In South Korea, military service usually lasts around 18 to 21 months, so the manhwa may not return for about two years.
New English Volume Coming in 2026
Even though the manhwa is on hiatus, fans will still get new content. Publisher Yen Press has confirmed that the first English print volume of Solo Leveling: Ragnarok will be released in July 2026.
The volume will contain around 296 pages and will be available in both paperback and digital formats. Fans will be able to purchase it through major stores like Amazon and Crunchyroll. Pre-orders are already available, and the exact release date is expected to be announced closer to launch.
What Ragnarok Is About
Solo Leveling: Ragnarok focuses on Sung Suho, the son of Sung Jin-Woo, in an alternate timeline. The story begins with powerful celestial beings who created multiple universes and watched conflicts in the mortal world for entertainment.
However, the balance begins to change after one of these supreme beings is killed by their own creation.
At the same time, mysterious gates appear once again on Earth. Suho awakens his power and begins fighting monsters inside dangerous dungeons. He must face powerful cosmic enemies while trying to protect the world.
What Fans Can Expect Next
At the moment, there is still no official announcement for Solo Leveling Season 3. However, many fans believe that a major update could arrive sometime in 2026.
Until then, the upcoming English release of Solo Leveling: Ragnarok will give fans something new to enjoy while they wait for the next chapter of the anime story.
