Nowlu Performs Ending Theme for My Gift Lvl 9999 Unlimited Gacha Anime, Premiering October 3

The production team for the television anime My Gift Lvl 9999 Unlimited Gacha: Backstabbed in a Backwater Dungeon, I'm Out for Revenge! announced on Sunday that Nowlu will perform the ending theme song “Shirogarasu.” The reveal was made during an advance screening of the first three episodes held at Shinjuku Piccadilly Cinema.

The series adapts Backstabbed in a Backwater Dungeon: My Trusted Companions Tried to Kill Me, But Thanks to the Gift of an Unlimited Gacha I Got LVL 9999 Friends and Am Out For Revenge on My Former Party Members (Shinjiteita Nakama-tachi ni Dungeon Okuchi de Korosarekaketa ga Gift "Mugen Gacha" de Level 9999 no Nakama-tachi o Te ni Irete Moto Party Member to Sekai ni Fukushuu & "Zamaa!" Shimasu!), a light novel written by Shisui Meikyou with illustrations by tef.

The anime is set to premiere on October 3 on Tokyo MX, MBS, and BS11. It will also stream via d Anime Store, U-NEXT, and Anime Hōdai starting October 3 at 24:00 JST (October 4 at midnight). Internationally, HIDIVE will simulcast the series.

Hiroshi Ohnogi (Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood, Kekkaishi) oversees series composition, while Yukie Suzuki (Tsukimichi: Moonlit Fantasy) handles character designs. Yoshikazu Iwanami (Ajin, Fate/Zero, JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure) is sound director, with Ryō Takahashi (High Card, Wind Breaker) composing the score.

J-Novel Club publishes the light novel in English and describes the plot as follows:

Shisui launched the story on Shōsetsuka ni Narō in April 2020. Hobby Japan released the first print volume with artwork by tef in May 2021, with the 12th volume published on April 18.

Meanwhile, Takashi Ohmae began a manga adaptation on Kodansha’s Magazine Pocket app in May 2021. The manga’s 17th collected volume was released on August 7. Seven Seas Entertainment holds the manga license in English.
