Jujutsu Kaisen Spinoff Manga “Modulo” Launches in Weekly Shonen Jump

The first chapter of Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo (written in English: Jujutsu Kaisen ≡), a new short-term series was released in Weekly Shonen Jump. It is a joint venture between the creator of Jujutsu Kaisen, Gege Akutami and the manga artist Yuji Iwasaki of Cipher Academy. Even though the series has been hinted at before, it is now officially a proper spinoff of the primary Jujutsu Kaisen plot. A promotional video (PV) was also debuted along with the launch to provide the fans with an initial preview of the new series.

Besides the manga spinoff, the horror novelist Yumeaki Hirayama announced that he would be writing another Jujutsu Kaisen spinoff novel, which will be released at a later time. This is one of the increasingly long list of projects that has the franchise expanding beyond the manga of Akutami.

These are announced in a series of huge Jujutsu Kaisen news. The first trailer of Season 3 of the anime has recently been unveiled and a period of January 2026 premiere was confirmed. Moreover, an American distributor, GKIDs, declared that the two initial episodes of the third season of Jujutsu Kaisen will be shown in American cinemas as early as December 5, 2025, which is an excellent opportunity to show its global audiences the next arc.

To offer some context, the VIZ Media has the following to say about the first volume of Jujutsu Kaisen: Yuji Itadori may appear as a typical teenager, yet he is physically extremely strong, unlike his peers. Yuji does not want to join a sports club, even though all of them are willing to include him in their team, choosing to hang out with his friends in the Occult Research Club. On a very unfortunate day, the club finds a mysterious sealed cursed object. To open the seal is to release horrors beyond imagination, and Yuji finds himself in a world of the black arts, curses, and fighting in which every minute counts.
