Assassination Classroom Celebrates 10th Anniversary With Special Movie Release

The hit series Assassination Classroom is making a comeback with fresh content to celebrate its 10th anniversary. A new movie titled “Minna no Jikan” has been announced, set to premiere in Japan on March 20, 2026. The film will adapt stories that were never included in the original anime run.

Studio Lerche returns for the project, with Masaki Kitamura stepping in as director, succeeding Seiji Kishi. The staff lineup also includes returning screenwriter Makoto Uezu and character designer Aya Higame (Toilet-bound Hanako Kun).

The TV anime is available on Crunchyroll, which describes it as follows: Class 3E must assassinate their teacher, a Mach 20 tentacled creature who already destroyed most of the moon. With Earth’s fate hanging in the balance, their lessons become survival training, where success means saving the planet and earning a massive reward.
