Tying the Knot With an Amagami Sister Manga End After 4 Years

Marcey Naito’s romantic comedy manga Tying the Knot With an Amagami Sister has officially concluded after running for more than four years. In April 2021, the series debuted as a one-shot in Kodansha Weekly Shonen Magazine and began regular publication in the magazine issue of April 2021. It ended in the 39th issue of the magazine in August 2025. Volume 22 of the series will be the last one.

In order to mark the manga having ended, commemorative illustrations were revealed. Go!, is a Japanese manga author. Go! Loser Ranger, a regular contributor and character designer, drew an art celebrating the occasion; character designer Haruko Iizuka, who was the character designer on the anime adaptation, also drew an art to commemorate it. These are just like a sentimental farewell note to the show and people who have been watching the show over the past several years.

Tying the Knot With an Amagami Sister tells the story of Uryu Kamihate, a young boy who dreams of becoming a doctor despite his difficult upbringing. His life subsequently assumes an abrupt twist on his joining the Amagami Shrine as his foster home. There, he meets the three Amagami sisters Yae, Yuna and Asahi, who not only ruin his plans of his peaceful life of studying but also get him introduced to a bizarre future: he will be forced to marry one of the three girls and maintain the shrine. The show combines a romantic comedy with a heartfelt character drama that explains its popularity among the fans.

The popularity of the manga made it an anime adapted by the studio Drive. It was adapted in two seasons which began airing in October of 2025 and January of 2026 on the TV network and affiliates including the BS NTV. As of internationally, Crunchyroll also streamed the anime including with English dubbing, as such, guaranteeing anime fans living in other countries could see the anime at the same time as its contemporaries in Japan.

In addition to the anime, Tying the Knot With an Amagami Sister was also made widely available in print and digital formats. The manga was licensed in English by Kodansha USA, and made available by Kodansha K Manga in English to overseas readers in digital form. The series was popular both in Japan and outside and earned its devotees through the mixture of comedy, romance, and family-focused narrative.

In June of the current year, the official social media account of the manga already confirmed that the story will end with the 22 h volume. A giveaway campaign occurred to mark the release of Volume 20 and special QUO prepaid cards were offered as prizes. The campaign was prolonged further, lasting until the publication of the final volume so as to allow fans a last chance to celebrate with them.

Now that the serialization has ended, Tying the Knot With an Amagami Sister joins the ranks of other popular modern romantic comedies that have captivated readers in Weekly Shonen Magazine. The appearance of such salient creators as Negi Haruba also shows the impact and popularity that the work by Marcey Naito has gained in the manga industry.

Although the manga is completed, we can still expect the anime not to stop any time soon and get the final collected volumes. This combination of romance, comedy and family motifs has guaranteed the series a long term position in the hearts of many readers. In its completion, Marcey Naito leaves behind a piece of memorable work, which has great appeal to fans of the romantic comedy genre.
