The Level 999 Villager TV Anime Premieres This July
The TV anime adaptation of The Level 999 Villager (also known as The Villager of Level 999) is officially set to premiere this July. Alongside the announcement, the production team unveiled a brand-new key visual, character visuals, and a promotional trailer to build anticipation ahead of its broadcast.
Animation production is being handled by Brain's Base, the studio recognized for its work on An Archdemon’s Dilemma: How to Love Your Elf Bride. The adaptation brings together an experienced creative team and a well-known cast of voice actors.

About the Original Series
The anime is based on the light novel Lv999 no Murabito, written by Koneko Hoshitsuki. The story first appeared as a web novel on Shosetsuka ni Naro from July 2015 to December 2018. It was later acquired by Enterbrain (under Kadokawa) and published as an eight-volume light novel series featuring illustrations by Fuumi.
A manga adaptation illustrated by Kenichi Iwamoto began serialization in Comp Ace in May 2017. The series has since been collected into multiple tankobon volumes, and an English version is available through MangaPlaza.
Story Overview
The Level 999 Villager follows Koji Kagami, who lives in a world where individuals are assigned one of eight character classes at birth. The “villager” class is considered the weakest and least prestigious. As someone placed in this lowest tier, Koji appears destined for an ordinary and unremarkable life.
