'Tis Time for "Torture," Princess Season 2 Drops New Trailer.

The upcoming second season of ‘Tis Time for “Torture,” Princess” has revealed a brand-new trailer, showcasing fresh footage while introducing a new character, Sakura Heartrock. The anime is officially set to premiere in January 2026.

Studio PINE JAM is once again handling the animation for Season 2. You can check out the newly released trailer below.

Season 1 Recap

The first season of the anime aired in January 2024, running for 12 episodes. Studio PINE JAM took charge of production with:

Yoko Kanamori as director
Kazuyuki Fudeyazu in charge of series composition
Satoshi Furuhashi and Toshiya Kono as character designers
Masaru Yokoyama composing the music

Haruka Shiraishi as Princess
Chikahiro Kobayashi as Excalibur
Shizuka Ito as Torture Tortura
Tessho Genda as Hell-Lord

With Regards to the Series

Tis Time to Torture Thyself, Princess (Hime-sama gomon No Jikan desu) is a manga of Robinson Haruhara (writer) and Hirakei (artist). It started serialization in April 2019 on Shonen Jump+, where it ended officially in Japan on August 19, 2025.

The anime is streaming licensed on Crunchyroll, trading description of the story as:

With the war that is still raging between the Imperial Army and the Hellhorde, the Princess, having a mythical sword called Excalibur has been captured and put in prison. However, torture in form of delicious food, hence, fluffy toasts, hot ramen, and delicious snacks, takes place instead of tortures on her flesh. And can she keep these gastronomical allurements long enough to defend the secrets of her kingdom?

As the manga has already been finished and Season 2 is in the works, there is much that fans can be excited about in the sequel to this comedy serial of fantastical fiction.
